The ensues a war between Sonu and Sweety while Titu is left to make both of them understand. The film stars Kartik Aryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Nijar, all of who were together last seen in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. The premise is good and having been part of a lot of press cons on the film, I got what Luv Ranjan wanted to convey. It is absolutely true that nowadays our friends are a bigger part of the family and their approval for the ones we love does matter a lot. But after watching the film, I have been pretty disappointed. As interesting as the plot may sound, it comes to the same point as has all the pyaar Ka punchnaamas. No, this isn't a rant about the bromance that is shown in Luv Ranjan's films, but the toxic idea of relationship that is being shown and propagated through his films. So Titu is the dilfek guy who falls in love every now and then, only with the very wrong people. And Sonu is always there to save him. When he finally is all set to get hitched to the perfect girl, he still has a problem, because he is too perfect. Now the problem does not lie with the fact that the woman is too perfect and Sonu has difficulty in digesting the fact. Spoilers ahead The problem is that she is not perfect. She is shown as a shrewd, manipulative woman. How, why, no reason. She is just a reiteration of the fact that an understanding woman is a myth. Ok, let us consider that this was the POV of the director to take the plot forward. But I could never come to terms with how Sonu idea women for his own convenience. He wants Pihu back in Titu's life because he can control her and she would never challenge him. The insensitivity which Sonu's character exhumes is appalling, to say the least. Had these parts not bothered me, there were genuine moments of fun and takrar that would keep the audience hooked. The film had a consistent first and second half. The cinematography was good, but the music was probably the best part. Coming to the performances, Sunny Singh was probably the weakest link in the film.
